Product Designer

Are you ready to turn deep customer empathy into radical product experiences and redefine how entrepreneurs access funding? As our Product Designer, you will be the dedicated voice of the customer, bridging user research and behavioral insights directly into our product strategy, user flows, and front-end design.

Your role

As our Product Designer, you will be embedded across key Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) taking direct ownership of our website, onboarding flows, and initial borrowing journeys. BridgeFund is scaling rapidly, and we are moving away from traditional, siloed UI handoffs toward a product-led way of working where discovery and delivery flow continuously.

You won’t just operate in the “solution space” pushing pixels or making isolated mockups; you will dive deep into the problem space to understand the real “why” behind customer challenges. Partnering closely with our first designer, Product Managers, and engineers, you will lead end-to-end customer discovery interviews, run user testing, integrate AI into your workflows, and translate raw behavioral data into quarterly business plannings and OKRs. You bring a balance of user empathy and evidence-based pragmatism, prioritizing radical product improvements.

Your responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design: Lead the entire UX journey from problem discovery, framing, wireframing, and interactive prototyping to high-fidelity Figma designs.

• Drive user research & discovery: Plan and conduct in-depth customer interviews (in Dutch), journey mapping, surveys, and usability testing to deeply understand borrower bottlenecks.

• Spearhead core user funnels: Design intuitive, frictionless user flows and onboarding funnels across MDTs

• Scale our design system: Maintain, iterate, and evolve our shared Figma design system to support rapid product development and ensure front-end readiness for AI-driven workflows.

• Bridge insights into strategy: Partner with Product Managers and Tech Leads to turn customer insights into actionable OKRs and quarterly product roadmaps.

• Champion the design craft: Challenge status-quo processes—shifting from rigid sprint backlogs toward agile, continuous-flow delivery

What you bring

• 3–5 years of dedicated product/UX design experience with a proven portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX thinking from discovery to delivery.

• Strong discovery & research toolkit: Demonstrated experience running qualitative user interviews, usability tests, and mapping complex, form-heavy or onboarding journeys.

• Tooling & modern workflow: Proficiency in Figma and Notion, with genuine curiosity to explore AI-integrated workflows and prototyping tools.

• Dutch proficiency: You must be able to actively conduct, listen to, and comprehend customer interviews in Dutch.

• Insatiably curious, asking the tough "why" questions to uncover root causes.

• Resilient, collaborative, and energized by feedback.

• Bringing engineers and stakeholders along rather than designing in an ivory tower.

• Experience in Fintech, Banking, or Digital Marketplaces; familiarity with product analytics, session recordings, or interaction metrics.

Don’t tick every box? Tell us anyway—we hire for trajectory, mindset, and judgment, not a rigid checklist.

Who we are

While small businesses drive the economy, when it comes to financing, traditional systems still move at the speed of paper. We founded BridgeFund in 2018 to change that. We've stripped away the bureaucracy: an entrepreneur applies in just five minutes, and our advanced technology processes the data quickly and efficiently. By combining cutting-edge automation with real human logic, we make financing decisions that are both fast and fair. We grew 55% last year and by 2026 have proudly fast-tracked over €1B in loans to entrepreneurs. Our next goal? To scale our product capabilities by making our platform even sharper, ensuring support for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
